Big Investment! BOI Approves “Jurassic World” Project Worth 1.2 Billion Baht to Create New Landmark

The Board of Investment (BOI) has approved the investment promotion for the Jurassic World: The Experience project, valued at 1.2 billion Baht. This large-scale tourism and entertainment project will be located at Asiatique The Riverfront and aims to become a new landmark in Bangkok and Thailand.

The project is a tourism and entertainment development inspired by the famous Jurassic World movie franchise, utilizing advanced technology and innovation to provide a realistic experience for visitors.

Key features of the project include:

Realistic animatronic dinosaurs, utilizing cutting-edge technology to simulate the movement and sounds of dinosaurs
3D recreated scenes that provide an immersive atmosphere, making visitors feel as if they are inside the Jurassic World universe
A computer-controlled movement system that ensures the show is both realistic and thrilling
An immersive experience where visitors can interact and engage with the realistic atmosphere

The project will cover an area of 4,000 square meters within Asiatique The Riverfront, a popular tourism hub for both Thai and international visitors.

Mr. Narutam said that the tourism sector is a key industry driving Thailand’s economy. Last year, over 35 million international tourists visited Thailand, generating 1.67 trillion Baht in revenue. Developing tourist attractions such as Jurassic World: The Experience, which is a man-made attraction, will enhance Thailand’s competitiveness as a tourism hub in the region, attracting tourists from around the world and stimulating domestic spending.

The BOI has played an important role in promoting investment in the tourism industry, supporting 209 projects in the tourism sector over the past 10 years (2015-2025), with a total value of over 200 billion Baht. These include hotels and resorts, large convention centers, tourist attractions and theme parks, cultural activities, and international events.

Choosing Asiatique as the location for Jurassic World: The Experience is a strategic move, as Asiatique is one of the most popular riverside tourism centers in Thailand, offering a full range of amenities such as restaurants, shopping, and other attractions. This makes it an ideal location for a themed experiential attraction like Jurassic World: The Experience.

Although the official opening has not been announced yet, it is expected that once operational, Jurassic World: The Experience will become a key tourist destination that will help stimulate the economy and increase the value of Thailand’s tourism sector.
