TabTim Krob (Thai Red Rubies in Coconut Milk)

TabTim Krob or Thai Red Rubies is a delicious Thai dessert to cool down the heat, often eaten with coconut milk and syrup. However, Thai Red Rubies is actually made from water chestnut mixed with pink food coloring and tapioca flour. In addition, some recipes use yam or taro. The reason this dessert is called TabTim Krob or Red Rubies is because its color is pink and red which reminds people of ruby.
