Representatives from ACU Pay (Thailand) Co., Ltd. participated in the 2nd sub-meeting “Project for Development of ASEAN Analysis Model MODEST” in collaboration with ONDE and TDRI.

ACU PAY (Thailand) Co., Ltd. attended the second sub-group meeting under the concept Scenario Design/Survey design of MODEST Model Development to measure the impact on economic growth, digital divide, and policy recommendations, at Meeting Room 808, Head office building, National Telecom Public Company Limited (NT) on 19 July 2024.

Mr. Parunyu Somthai and Mr. Kwanchai Thimachai, representatives of ACU PAY (Thailand) Co., Ltd. attended the second sub-meeting, together with representatives from Government Sector such as the Revenue Department and other agencies such as TEPA, Thailand E-Payment Trade Association.

During the meeting, there was a discussion on the Scenario design/Survey design concept, focusing on model analysis and field exploration using MODEST models, as well as the suitability, impact, and caution of whether these simulation scenarios are appropriate.

This MODEST model development project was established by the Office of National Digital Economy and Society Commission (ONDE) in cooperation with the Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI), to develop economic tools to assess the impact of digital policy on the economy and measure Thailand’s digital divide status as a pilot model for future development of similar models with data from other ASEAN member countries and develop to link to analyze the impact of ASEAN on Regional Analysis.
