Sleeping in China is very important. Other countries may view taking a nap during the day as for little children and the elderly only but in China, it is believed that sleeping during the day can increase work efficiency, reduce work irritation, and improve efficiency, and performance.
China usually gives employees a two-hour lunch break during the day, requiring at least 20 to 30 minutes of rest or nap. However, it should not be too long because it may make you feel sleepy in the evening. If any employee doesn’t want to sleep during the day, they can allocate themselves without disturbing their colleagues.
Some employees can go back to their homes but have to come back to work at a fixed time. Another reason is that China is a populous country. If you take a lunch break for an hour, it may cause too much crowded.
Another reason is that Chinese people believe that sleeping at midnight and taking a nap at noon will improve their health. According to Yin Yang’s nourishment in Chinese medicine, it is believed that this will help balance the body. Each season has a different lunchtime depending on the schedule, such as you may take a break a little early in winter between 12:00 to 2.00 pm. or may rest till 2.30 pm.
However, the summer break ends later because China’s daytime, during the summer, is longer. Thus, the lunch break takes between 12:00 and 2:30 p.m., or 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. In some places, it may take a break from 11:30 a.m. As a result, in some areas near universities or downtown areas where offices are large, there are rooms for children to take a nap during the day, or bunk beds for some children and staff to use.
Moreover, the Chinese believe that drinking caffeine or drinking coffee to be active or not to be drowsy will not benefit the body. Resting or taking a nap for efficiency may be better than drinking caffeine. The findings show that daytime sleep increases alertness, enabling effective functioning and creativity, can create creative thinking better and be productive.
It is also believed to help maintain better health through daytime sleep, improve body immunity and blood pressure, reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke, and, most importantly, avoid irritation during work. Sufficient sleep reduces stress and reduces negative thoughts.
In many countries, taking a nap may be viewed as an act of laziness, but do you know that all of this is very good for your body and work efficiency?
