The important thing about first aid for pets that are suffering from heat stroke is to lower their body temperature, but do not reduce it too quickly because it may be dangerous. The advice from veterinarians are as follows:

If our pets are in hot weather or crowded places, they should be brought out to areas where the air flows, release the leash and take the dog’s clothing off to facilitate breathing and help cool off the heat.
Use a damp cloth to wipe the area such as the armpits, groin, or under the sole of the feet to help cool down. Be careful not to use too cold water because it may cause shock. It is best to use water at room temperature.
