Regarding the overdue electricity bill, the power supply authority will try to reduce the burden and reduce the cost of electricity for those who use electricity lower than 300 baht per month.

Moreover, the Power Supply Authority and the Waterwork have extended the electricity and water bill overdue from 2 months to 3 months, starting from November 2023 to November 2024 as a New Year gift for Thai people. The eligible person has to have the total cost of water supply lower than 150 baht per month. The total overdue water bill must be in arrears for 3 months or 450 baht with no old arrears.

Will the electricity/water be cut off if it is overdue in case you live in a condo?

For those living in the condo, if the electricity bill is overdue, electricity can be cut off according to the electricity service agreement because electric meters are owned by each condominium owner. In the case of water supply, the water supply cannot be cut off as the water supply is sold to corporations and corporations pass it on to each room.

Will the electricity/water be cut off if you do not pay the common fee?

In another case, if the residents of the condominium or settlement village do not pay the common fee, the juristic person can cut off the water and the power, or refrain from using the common area or not.
