Has anyone ever been extremely afraid of something that other people do not fear of or fear something weird but do not know the reason for the fear? These symptoms are called Phobia. A phobia is a disease that will show severe fear of things or situations unreasonably and only fear of certain stimuli. Trypophobia or fear of holes is a fear of something that has a lot of holes which can lead to discomfort, disgust, goosebumps and nausea whether that thing is man-made or natural. Some of the people with this phobia were trembling, vomiting, and wobbly legs and got sick.
Catoptrophobia or fear of mirrors is a disease in which the fear of mirrors or reflective surfaces, the fear of what they see in a mirror, the fear of being stared through a mirror, or feeling uncomfortable with the image of oneself reflected through it. In addition, those with Catoptrophobia will be very worried if the mirrors break because they fear bad luck.
Zoophobia is a symptom of severe and irrational fear of animals which is quite commonly found in girls. There is often more anxiety or fear than usual when they meet animals, whether familiar animals like dogs, cats, or other large animals. People with Zoophobia are unreasonably afraid of animals and do not want to go near them. Zoophobia can include dead animals or being afraid of going to the zoo. Symptoms and severity vary from person to person. Most people have tremors, shaking hands, or faint.
Social Anxiety Disorder can be seen from school to working age. It often lurks in normal and healthy individuals who are not likely to get sick because the symptoms are in between shyness, nervousness, and embarrassment, causing many patients with Social Anxiety Disorder to fear that people around them will see themselves negatively or be criticized. The symptoms look like they get excited about something like other people, but people with Social Anxiety Disorder will get nervous, uncomfortable, anxious, hands shaking, sweating profusely, and unable to control themselves.
Let’s finish with Philophobia or the fear of love. It is considered the most common form of phobias. The factors that cause this phobia may come from people close to them, resulting in patients trying to escape their feelings of love and not wanting to get close to anyone or if they feel good with someone, they will choose to run away, avoid the chance to fall in love, and even avoid going to places that lovers often go. Some people experience panic attacks, perspiration, rapid heart rate, difficulty breathing, and nausea when they realize that someone is trying to connect or express their feeling of love.
