6 Zoos which are worth going to!

Anyone who is looking for a place to relax with friends and family on weekends is recommended to go to the zoo. 1. Khao Kheow Open Zoo

Khao Kheow Open Zoo is not that far from Bangkok. 2. Chiang Mai Zoo

The only famous zoo in the North is located in an area of more than 531 rai with a tranquil, shady atmosphere. Unfortunately, Lin Hui, the last panda of Chiang Mai Zoo, passed away in April 2023. Therefore, the zoo is open to tourists to join in mourning for Lin Hui as well. However, Chiang Mai Zoo still has a lot of animals to go visit such as koalas, giraffes, hippopotamuses, and turtles. There is also an aquarium of more than 250 species for you to enjoy the beauty of the sea.

3. Korat Zoo

It has been open for more than 34 years with the legendary zoo of Korat. “Korat Zoo” Bringing everyone to experience the savanna atmosphere with Big Five, five great animals in the African meadow, the only one in Thailand. Visit the cuteness of many different kinds of wildlife. There are also many other activities to do, such as water parks or night zoos such as panthers, leopards, lions, gibbons, lemurs, and more.

4. Khon Kaen Zoo

Khon Kaen Zoo is located in an area of more than 3,338 rai. It has an overlap area with the National Forest Reserve, Udon Thani. In the zoo, there are more than 118 species of animals, including Sika deer, emu, and rare wild animals. The highlight of Khon Kaen Zoo is that you can walk around to see animals from a high angle on the Skywalk, which is over 100 meters long. There are also other activities such as Seal Shows, Feeding Animals, Adventure ATVs Driving, or Water Activities at water parks.

5. Ubon zoo

Ubon Zoo has an area of over 1,217 rai. Inside the zoo, it looks like a sparse forest full of trees. This is for animals to live in an abundance of forests. Wild animals will be raised in the area freely and for tourists to visit closely. In addition, it is also a conservation area for more than 300 Dipterocarpus alatus Roxb which are the plant species of Ubon Ratchathani as well. There will be two types of zoo zones, a walking zone, and a bus zone. You can choose to drive a golf car or take a tram.

6. Songkhla Zoo

This Songkhla Zoo covers an area of more than 991 rai, which is a wildlife conservation and breeding site. In this zoo, there are many domestic and foreign animals such as camels, red bulls, tigers, crocodiles, and birds. Apart from we’ve come to see animals, the highlight of this place is Thailand’s first large water park located in the valley. Another place to stop is a sightseeing spot where you can see the city of Songkhla as far as you can see with the service point which serves food nearby.
