Can Online Sale do VAT Registration?

Here comes the new law for online merchants who have a great sale but have no storefront or operate their online shop at residence or condominium to register the Value Added Tax or VAT. ACU will show you the details about the conditions and how to register VAT via an online platform. Let’s start.

What is Value Added Tax? Why is it important?

Value Added Tax is levied on the sale of goods and services both domestic and abroad. The rate for the Value Added Tax is 7% and the government will use this tax money in developing countries. Shops or entrepreneurs must pay value added tax to the government. Shops or entrepreneurs who have earned more than 1.8 million baht per year excluding fixed income need to file tax in the form of Phor.Phor 01 within 30 days after the day income reaches 1.8 million baht. Then, pay the VAT from the first day of registration. If the register is late or unregistered, there is a fine that starts from the first day that the income reaches 1.8 million baht.
