What to do when you quit the job? with How to register as an unemployed person in Social Security

By the start of the new year, it is certainly common for many people to grow for another step such as moving, changing jobs, or going on vacation. However, for anyone insured under section 33 or a regular employee like us, you can’t miss the registration of unemployed people. People who have quit but do not know where to go next can apply for social security benefits. Today, ACU PAY will take everyone to take a look at the details of their unemployment registration.

What is an unemployed person's registration?

People who quit their jobs but still have a new job yet do not worry because regular or permanent employees under the law are eligible to receive compensation after unemployment with the conditions that they must be insured under section 33 and have paid contributions for six months or more before they can register for this compensation. Currently, there is no need to queue up for unemployment registration at the Department of Labor because unemployment can now be registered via online channels with the following documents:

  • ID card
  • A savings account book of any banks
  • Picture file for the card

Unemployment registration steps

  1. Go to https://e-service.doe.go.th/ and select “Enter the website”
  2. Select “LogIn for Individuals”
  3. If you have never registered as unemployed, select “Register”.
  4. Read the terms and conditions and click “Right” and agree to go to the procedure.
  5. Authentication process by entering an ID number and selecting a post-card authentication pattern.
  6. Then complete the personal information and select Confirm.
  7. Name the user account and password, then select Confirm.
  8. Next is the process of confirming your mobile phone number by entering the number and OTP code sent via SMS, then selecting Confirm.
  9. Review the information carefully and Select Confirm.

Procedure for registering and reporting the insured in case of unemployment

  1. Go to https://e-service.doe.go.th/ and select “Enter the website”
  2. Select “LogIn for Individuals”
  3. Enter the user account name and password, click Login.
  4. Read the details and select consent.
  5. Click Register and report to the insured in case of unemployment.
  6. Then select “Continue” in case of using the service at home or other non-office locations.
  7. Go to the Unemployment registration menu and select “Unemployment Registration”, the blue button.
  8. Fill in and check and attach the bankbook page file.
  9. Then select Report. You have to report every month until the deadline or until you get a job.

How much compensation will you get after registering for Unemployment?

In case of dismissal from work, the compensation for not more than 180 days or 6 months will be paid at 50% of the average wage.

If you quit your job, you will receive compensation not exceeding 90 days or 3 months at the rate of 30% of the average wage.
