Toxic people, be aware and avoid

Has anyone ever had the experience of someone who nitpicks on other people and talks about us behind our backs? Or you may need to observe yourself whether you have this kind of habit or not because it is called Toxic people. Let’s take a look at who are toxic people and who have this kind of people around themselves. Today, we are going to introduce toxic people who no one wants to be and how to deal with them.

What are Toxic People?

Toxic means containing or being poisonous and Toxic People means a person who is toxic. This word is normally used to describe bad behavior that makes other people around them feel uncomfortable. For example, vent their temper on others or blame everyone except themselves. Psychologically, Toxic people have often suffered those wounds before, until they express themselves in bad behavior to protect themselves and manage feelings incorrectly.

The characteristics of a Toxic person

  1. Gossiping: Toxic people love to gossip about other people. They can gossip about everything and it will make them happy. However, people who are talked behind their back will receive negative energy and toxicity from those toxic people and make them unhappy.
  2. Self-centered: They like to manipulate others, not caring about how others would feel. Whatever other people say or give an opinion about is always wrong. But if it’s what they want, they have to get everything and everything is right. They think of themselves as cool, and smart and do not need to listen to anybody. It’s kind of hard to work with this kind of person.
  3. Nitpicking: They are curious and nitpick others such as pointing out that person is a minute late, that person just walked to the bathroom. They can be called CCTV and this kind of behavior will make people around them uncomfortable.
  4. Moody and easily upset: He is always emotional, irritable at others, even though it’s not involved to that person, easily angry, and unable to control his or her emotions. Sometimes they are dramatic, crying, sad, and sometimes angry.
  5. Lying: Lying can be done, but it should be done in case of lying to save face and talk about it later. But not just lying. Even if you catch it, they will continue to lie. It will make their surrounding people distrustful and uncomfortable.

How to deal with Toxic People

Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of “de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum” (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, “Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..”, comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

How to deal with Toxic People

This can be done if you know that you are a Toxic or close to the Toxic people. How do you cope without compromising your mental health?

  1. Think positive: As mentioned, Toxic people are mostly people who have had wounds in their minds before. We may provide solutions by thinking positively and talking reasonably. As for Toxic people, they may need to control their emotions more and try to think positively about themselves.
  2. Forgive and let go: If you know it’s a Toxic people, you might have to let go and should not keep everything toxic people say or do in mind. For anyone near Toxic people may have to understand that they don’t mean to talk, and then they may have to let go.
  3. Put yourself in someone else’s shoes: As for people who realize they are Toxic, they may have to think about others a little bit, such as Can you accept that someone is mad at you even though you do not do anything wrong. As for those close to Toxic people, you may need to talk but do not have to be very close. But if they start to act worse, it may be necessary to cut off relationships for your own comfort.
