The latest traffic law of 2024 was enacted on September 5, 2024. If drivers use their mobile phones while driving, they will be fined up to 4,000 baht from the previous fine of 2,000 baht. To ensure the safety of drivers and other pedestrians on the road, accessories should be used if the driver needs to use mobile phones such as earphones, wireless headphones, or accessories used in attaching phones to the front of the car.
The penalty for not carrying a driver’s license or driver’s license expires will be divided into two cases.
If the driver does not stop the car at the crosswalk, the driver will be fined up to 4,000 baht from the previous fine of 1,000 baht.
Drivers and passengers who do not wear helmets will be fined up to 2,000 baht from the previous fine of 500 baht.
Drivers and passengers who do not fasten their seat belts will be fined up to 2,000 baht from the previous fine of 500 baht.
If there is a child under 6 years old in the vehicle, the children will be required to sit on a safety seat or Car Seat. If not, the driver will be fined up to 2,000 baht.
